Small Business Saturday beats Black Friday

Screen Shot 2014-11-29 at 19.10.08As the dust settles from Black Friday attention switches to a much more important retail event, Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday (UK) is a grassroots, non-political, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses. I could think of no better day for the first Bounceback Food market event!

On Saturday 6th December 3-8pm, we will have a stall at Broughton Christmas Market in Salford. There’ll be 30+ small businesses selling art, clothes and food/drink! We’ll be there with our range of staple food available on a ‘buy one, give one’ basis. Every time we sell a product, we’ll donate the same one to the nearest food bank. If you live in the Manchester/Salford area, come along and support local businesses!
